“You, me, Vince: Three-man Wildcat. What do you say?”
“I dunno…”
“It’s like Cerberus, but instead of a dog, he’s a Wildcat!”
“Cerber-who?”
“You know Cerberus? The three-headed dog who guards the gates of Hades?”
“Look, with my probation, I can’t even talk about something like that.”
“Oh. Right. Can I at least get a red practice jersey?”
“OK, but only until Desean gets here.”

The Dallas Cowboys

You know, the Dallas Cowboys have really failed to meet my expectations this offseason. I mean I’m glad they courted Asomugha (at least a little bit) but seriously? Kenyon Coleman is your prized free agent of the offseason (re-signings excluded)?
I hope the Cowboys plan on working more on their offseason acquisitions because as of now they have an underachiever at RG, LOLB, both DE positions, and at least one S position.
They have pretty much the same roster, excluding WR Roy Williams RB Marion Barber and RG Leonard Davis. This roster of yours didn’t perform well and yet you expect it to perform well and even beat the Philadelphia “dream team” Eagles and the uprising New York Giants.
It’s not very often that three teams from a division make it to the playoffs.

Zero Suit Samus Throws The Best Parties

Day 31 of the 31 Days Of Zero Suit Samus

Aaaaaaand scene. (zoom in a bit here)

Whoa. That’s the end of the 31 Days of Zero Suit Samus! I’ll post a full retrospective later. In the meantime, why don’t you peruse the archives and pick out a favorite (or two!) to get done up as a print for your wall? They’re only $10 each. You can pick any except for Day 31, which I’ll have to price out separately or sell as two prints. It’s… large.

I must admit I didn’t think much of Mark first time I laid eyes on him; looked like a stiff breeze would blow him over. That was my first impression of the man.

Fantasy Football

Today I ended up with Sam Bradford and Steven Jackson (@sj39) on two out of three of my fantasy football teams. I consider Jackson to be a full time starter but you have to wonder how many touches he will get in Josh McDaniels’ pass happy offense.
Will Steve Spagnuolo keep a foot in the door and keep his loyalty to Jackson being the key to the team? Or will he hand the keys to the franchise over to Bradford who also recently acquired the tough Mike Sims-Walker (FA > Jaguars)?
What I’m getting at is that McDaniels does an amazing job at making average receivers look like amazing receivers. I think the best thing that the Rams did this year is acquire Josh McDaniels. Expect Sims-Walker to have a big year this year.
I’ll keep Steven Jackson as a starting RB year round because even if he is in a pass happy offense, I’m more than positive that they will use him a lot in goal-line situations.
Thanks for reading!
